A limestone butte that looks like a natural castle: La Mola de Segart is the most photogenic summit close to the villa. Its flat top, at 565 metres, rewards you with a full 360-degree panorama.
The route starts in Segart, a village of 150 souls tucked under the Garbí, 20 minutes by car from Calma Villa. There is a short 5 km version and a longer 7.6 km loop, both with 350–400 m of climbing and a final stretch of easy rock steps that adventurous kids (from 5–6 years) love.
From the summit: the Albufera and Valencia to the south, Sagunto and the Mediterranean to the east, the Garbí straight ahead and, on clear days, Penyagolosa and Montgó on the horizon. Its sunsets are among the most photographed in the Sierra Calderona.
Park by the last houses of Segart. Bring plenty of water and sun protection (a sunny route), proper shoes for the loose descent, and avoid midday hours in summer. Afterwards, the terrace of L'Olivera in Segart is the perfect finish.
Between 2.5 and 3.5 hours return depending on the variant and your pace.
Yes, for children used to walking (5–6+). Not for pushchairs, and there are drops at the top: hold hands.
